Water and fire restoration: the work behind recovery

Restoration work includes stages that a finished-room photograph cannot show. Water extraction, moisture assessment, and structural drying help establish whether materials are ready for repair. Fire recovery adds soot removal, smoke cleaning, and attention to water used by firefighters. The correct method depends on the condition of the property and the surfaces involved, not simply on making a space look clean.

The images on this page represent MCC's service categories and include illustrative service photography. They are not a documented set of before-and-after projects, and no specific property, customer, or project outcome is claimed. MCC's original website photography is retained alongside these service illustrations.

Mold remediation and air duct cleaning details

Mold work involves the moisture source as well as visible growth. Containment, filtration, and material handling may be needed depending on the extent of the problem. A photograph alone cannot identify a mold species, determine a health concern, or establish that hidden materials are dry. An assessment is needed to decide the appropriate work for a particular building.

Duct cleaning focuses on debris inside accessible supply and return paths. Equipment and access arrangements vary by system. Clean registers do not necessarily show the condition of the rest of the ductwork, and duct cleaning should not replace normal filter changes or equipment maintenance. Our air duct service page explains the inspection and cleaning sequence in more detail.

Discuss your property's restoration needs

If your home or business has suffered damage, describe the source, the rooms involved, and any safety restrictions when contacting MCC. Photographs can help communicate what you have observed, but they cannot replace a site inspection. Keep any images of your own loss for your records and insurer, and avoid entering unsafe areas to obtain them.

MCC serves the O'Fallon and greater St. Louis region within a 35-mile radius. Emergency calls are accepted around the clock. Visit the water, fire, mold, or air duct service pages for process details, then call to discuss an assessment or a scheduled cleaning for your property.
